China Wave Spring Spirolox Retaining Rings are the trusted industry solution because of their unique configuration, reliability, and convenience across thousands of applications.
While we have five standard types of retaining rings broken down into 30 configurations, we also know that every application is unique.
China Wave Spring offers an array of standard retaining rings for different applications. Selecting the appropriate ring requires an understanding of the application requirements, which includes thrust load, groove dimensions, and many others. If your application rotates at high speeds, the rotational capacity of the retaining ring will be important to consider.
Smalley’s new Nested Spirawave(R) Wave Springs can be used in applications across many different industries. They are used to replace a stack of single-turn wave springs or when a single-turn spring cannot produce the forces necessary within an application. Below are just a few examples of how nested springs can be used.
In addition to standard Spirolox(R) retaining rings, China Wave Spring can also manufacture them with a unique self-locking provision. These self-locking rings are ideal for applications with high rotational requirements. They can also withstand the effects of vibration, rapid acceleration, and some impact loading. Self-locking rings provide a mechanical interference that increases the rotational capacity of external rings. The mechanical interference is a small tab on the ring that “locks” into a slot on the opposite turn of the ring.
China Wave Spring has again been awarded the GM Supplier Quality Excellence Award for the fifth consecutive year.
This accolade is awarded only after a supplier passes a rigorous quality audit that covers every aspect of production to delivery. Smalley’s commitment to quality and the automotive industry is evident by our pending upgraded certification to IATF 16949:2016.
